About tuf-turf<\/strong><\/h4>\n

tuf-turf is your, local supplier, for live and synthetic turf, soils, compost, mulches, and aggregates. We make it easy for our customers to either pick up products from our Blenkinsop location or have our products delivered anywhere in Greater Victoria or with special arrangements even the Gulf Islands.
We focus not only on providing top quality products, but also the knowledge to help you create the yard and landscape that you’ve always wanted.
The farm where we are based has been in operation since 1946 and to this day grows top-quality produce for the local community. The house where our main office is located is the original farm house built-in 1946 and is the same house where the land owner was born.
The lawn turf and products we supply in our bins are sourced locally within a 100km radius.
Our goal is to not just provide products for your lawns and yards that are designed or created to thrive in our local environment. Our region has its own climate and we know that. This is the difference we offer over providers of generic, all North-America focus products.
By providing a local source for these products and the knowledge to go with them, we help cut down on the multiple trips required to further away depots. By providing products, such as those with drought tolerance, we help our local environment with water-saving measures.<\/p>\n

The tuf-turf Team<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/strong>The team at tuf-turf is led by owner Lee Smith:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lee bought the business during the Covid Pandemic and has invested in many improvements to tuf-turf. He is experienced in the landscaping and horticulture industry. He spent 15 years with the famous Butchart Gardens as a senior gardener with experience in both gardening and sod. Lee is a past board member of the BC Landscape and Nursery Association where he brought over education programs from the mainland to the island for professionals and homeowners.\u00a0 His time on the BCLNA saw Lee spearheading education on the Island. He partnered with the CRD to teach methods to create and support landscapes with a focus on connecting with the environment. Lee has also been a landscaping company owner for several decades. One of Lee\u2019s key goals for tuf-turf moving forward is to offer more focused education for local gardeners and homeowners helping them expand and improve their relationships to our local environment. His vision is for homeowners to have the knowledge of not only how to create beautiful green spaces but also more environmentally responsive spaces.<\/p>\n

The team members<\/strong> at tuf-turf have landscaping and customer service experience and are trained to help our customers answer their questions. Whether it be “how much soil can I load into my truck” or ” what kind of soil or seed should I get for my yard?” They are customer-focused and we are very proud of the many positive comments and reviews we get on the service they offer.<\/p>\n
